Leatherjackets and Chafer Grubs can lead to serious lawn damage.
So what can be done?
Leatherjacket grubs are the larvae of Crane Flies (Daddy Long Legs). Infestations in turf can cause serious damage as they actually eat the grass roots. We can control the population of Leatherjackets for you with an application of natural organisms called Nemetodes. This can be carried out during autumn and spring.
Chafer grubs feed off thatch beneath the surface. They attract birds and badgers which can cause severe damage to lawns by digging for this particular food source. We can help to control the Chafer population in your lawn with the application of a special variety of Nematodes. For best results we carry out this treatment during warm, wet summer conditions.
